Nancy took a Welding 101 class at Metalwood Salvage and then got inspired to build her own desk. She took advantage of the Open Lab time we offer on the weekends and got to work! We love seeing our student put their new skills to uses.

“I’ve always wanted to learn how to weld, so when I was in need of a new desk, I thought, “Why not make it myself?!” The classes that I took at Metalwood Salvage prepared me to do just that. Both John and Janette’s guidance and hands on instruction were instrumental in me being able to design and weld the base of my desk myself. I look forward to taking more classes and using a plasma cutter for my next project!”
